Departure Date
I know that I haven't updated in quite a while. But as of right now we are leaving on Saturday, August 25th. We already have an apartment ready for us to paint and get moved into. We also have a piano, two twin beds, a queen-sized bed, a couch a kitchen table, a washer and dryer and some shelving. This is quite a blessing! When we arrive we will be staying in the team housing in our Extreme Response office building. For the first two weeks we will be painting and getting furniture in our apartment and Katya and I will be starting school. We should be moving into our apartment about two weeks after we arrive. We will have vonage, which is an internet phone that allows us to make long distance calls as if we were making local calls. We will be keeping our current phone number. However, my cell and my dad's cell will be turned off and saved for when we are back in the U.S. The four of us will be getting new cell phones but the best way to reach us is at our home number or email. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!

General Information
Okay, so most of you know that my family is moving to Quito, Ecuador to be missionaries with an organization called Extreme Response. And if you didn't know that then, surprise! I'm sure that you have a lot of questions (actually I know because you're always asking me!) so I'm going to do my best to fill you in! Okay, first I'll give you my crazy summer schedule!
June 4-8: VBS
June 18-22: Superwow
June 24-30: Piano Camp
July 1-21: Missionary Training in Colorado
There is more scheduling to come for the month of August but I don't have any exact dates yet, so I'll update that when I know. But we are trying to leave for Ecuador around August 30th.
So, next question. What kind of support do we need, and how much do we have already? Well, Extreme Response is a faith-based organization which means that all of the missionaries that work with them have to raise their own support. First we have to have a certain amount of money to buy a house/car/furniture with. As of now we have all of that money. The second thing that we need is a certain amount of monthly/quarterly/yearly support that acts as our salary. We are currently about 70% towards our goal. We're almost there!
I think that I've covered the most frequently asked questions. If you have any others just let me know and i'll go ahead and post about them. If you look in my links you'll find a link to the website of the school I'll be going to and a link to the Extreme Response website. Go take a look! Thanks for all your support!
